Seed The World
There’s a massive and growing problem in farms and forests across the world that is not being talked about nearly enough. It’s a crisis of seeds. Simply put, we don’t have enough of them. Or the people to collect them. Or the nurseries to grow them. Seed The World is devoted to addressing this crisis and ensuring the biodiversity and sustainability of our planet for generations to come.
Suyeong Hahn:
I've learned about the significant role that seeds play in sustaining life on our planet. She saw firsthand how these seeds were carefully nurtured and cultivated to produce healthy and sustainable crops. The monks taught me the importance of preserving and diversifying seeds to maintain a balanced and resilient ecosystem.
My visits to various temples in South Korea have not only opened my eyes to the beauty and importance of nature but also sparked a drive to protect and preserve it.
Through advocacy and passion for nurturing seeds, I believe I'm making a significant contribution towards creating a greener and more sustainable future.
OUR MISSION
Addressing the Seed Crisis
At Seed The World, we recognize the urgent need to address the seed crisis facing forests across the globe. Our approach is threefold: we collect and preserve seeds from endangered and threatened species, we work with local communities to support seed collection and cultivation, and we promote sustainable forestry practices that protect the biodiversity of our planet.
